Our A.I.M. is "to promote the equality of employment opportunities for persons with physical disabilities by providing a full range of the highest quality Vocational Rehabilitation interventions available, with special focus on Employment Services." A.I.M. for Work also offers the highest quality of individualized services to employers, and is committed to providing excellent services to all clients.

A.I.M. for Work provides employment services to people with a physical disability or chronic illness that causes functional limitations or restrictions in performing daily living activities. A physical disability can be congenital, acquired, or result of a work related or motor vehicle accident.
Services - Employers:
We assist employers by pre-screening a selection of qualified candidates, and can perform an assessment of workplace and basic ergonomic needs. We can help the employer explore funding opportunities, such as Targeted Wage Subsidies, which can offset the cost of hiring and training new employees.

Centre for Aboriginal Human Resource Development Inc. We serve six Manitoba regions, Interlake, Parkland, Westman, Eastman, Central Plains and Pembina Valley.
Overview:
Manitoba Farmers with Disabilities (MFWD) is dedicated to the education of the public and to the agricultural industry concerning safety issues and a support system for those living with disabilities.
MFWD believes that injuries and fatalities can be reduced through education and training. Farmers and family members who have been injured, have mobility restrictions or are new amputees, will receive help to find safer ways to continue work on the farm through the use of modified tools and equipment.
Services - People with Disabilities:
MFWD is a unique provider of farm health and safety programs and services for farm families across Manitoba. Our volunteers have been directly or indirectly impacted by a farm accident or illness,and provide farm accident prevention education and outreach services and when requested, one-on-one support to farmers with a disability, their families and employees.

We will provide on-site safety training or set up training sessions at our Health and Safety Centre. Helping the farmer develop a safe and healthy environment is a great benefit to the farm family and their employees. Opportunities for Employment

Overview:
We are a not-for-profit organization supporting persons 18 years and over who are living with diagnosed disabilities and who are currently receiving EIA disability benefits and/or have an open file with Vocational Rehabilitation find meaningful work, training and volunteering opportunities. Our services are free. We offer proven Stages of Change (SOC) counselling supports to assist people to resolve ambivalence toward change. Based on OFE's prior success with the SOC model, this FSCA pilot project started in 2009 has continually exceeded project goals and has been extended until March 2012.
Services - People with Disabilities:
We support persons living with all types of diagnosed disabilities and are proud to partner with local agencies to provide a best fit of support for that person's needs. We use the SOC model of empathy, collaboration, autonomy and empowerment to help people make positive change in their lives. Our trained team of 4 offers a variety of free group and one-to-one job search activities to enhance various aspects of work readiness of individuals. We offer presentations to employers on the effectiveness and benefits of using the Stages of Change model as well as screen applicants and provide job coaching and support to employees before and after they begin their job. We serve people with intellectual disabilities. We provide help to find employment (including follow up services). We also support people with building up work experience and volunteerism endeavours.
Services - Employers:
SCE LifeWorks provides on site training of the people we support to help that employee learn their job (at no cost to the employer). We also provide follow up support, and are happy to help an employee learn a new task if their role expands over time. An employment consultant is designated a lead, and is just a phone call away if there are any questions or concerns. That employment consultant will also touch base from time to time to ensure that the employee's and employer's needs are met.

Segue Career Options

Overview:
Our vocational program uses a unique approach by focusing on the strengths of an individual in order to facilitate success in the workplace. The program concentrates on goal setting with its participants in achieving their objectives. Through the use of this approach, the movement of the participants from their current state to one further along the continuum to meaningful employment is made as smooth and stress free as possible. This transition is very aptly described by the word Segue and it is for this reason that it was chosen.
Services - People with Disabilities:
We provide services to individuals with mental and/or physical disabilities. We assist the participant to develop job search skills and to actively conduct a job search with potential employers. Matches the participant's skills, training and interests with work placement opportunities. Negotiates placement arrangements with the employer and the participant.
Services - Employers:
Community Based Training and /or Agency Based Training Provides work training within the vocational interest of the participant. Work experiences are obtained to either explore vocational interests or for job placement if the participant is successful. The participant is supported, if needed, through job coaching, liaison between the employer and the participant, job adaptation, etc. Academic upgrading, Employability Skills Class and generic job skills development are offered at Segue.
