Information for Exhibitors

The Ability Axis Employment Expo is your opportunity to give your company exposure to career-minded Manitobans with disabilities. Whether you are:

WHO WILL BE THERE?

We are expecting the aisles of the Expo to be bustling with hundreds of attendees, who will include:

Career-minded People with Disabilities
There will be scores of job seekers with disabilities in attendance because, at its core, image of crowd at the 2012 Expothis is their event. From all walks of life, each will come with their unique set of skills, dreams, life experiences, and expectations. There will be young people in high school or college who are still in the early stages of career exploration – through to skilled and seasoned professionals who have only recently acquired their disabilities.

Employers
Employers from proactive and forward-thinking companies will be cruising the exhibits. From large and small companies alike, they will be exploring ways to better attract and retain employees with disabilities. They will be on the lookout forimage of the crowd at the 2012 Expo suppliers who can effectively supply applicants to meet their hiring needs. They will be seeking expertise and accommodations needed to help them retain valued employees who are acquiring disabilities.

Service and Program Suppliers

There are a lot of people and organizations in our province who are invested, personally and/or professionally, in finding ways for people with disabilities to have more access to jobs, greater success in their careers, and much greater representation in Manitoba’s workforce. The Expo is a focal point for celebrating successes, sharing challenges and seeking solutions. Policy makers, program-funders, educators and service providers alike are sure to have a strong presence.

EXHIBIT DETAILS

There will be over 50 Exhibit spaces available. All will be draped with 8’ high backs and 3’ high sides and will come with 8’ skirted tables and chairs. Electrical Service must be arranged directly with the hotel. Please use their Electrical Order Form.

Employment Expo CafÉ

The expo will have its own little café – with tables and a variety of sandwiches, baked goods, fruit and beverages for sale – a great feature to enhance networking opportunities or just grab a quick bite.
